The Latest Daytime Soap Opera News

Nicole makes her way back over to the hospital lobby on today’s Days of our Lives .  Nothing has really changed, though.  Roman ( Josh Taylor ) has figured out that someone tampered with the ventilation system and some kind of strange gas is being pulled into the seventh floor.  I’m glad that the characters on Days of our Lives are finally catching up to what we know.  The camera feeds are back on and Nicole sees Sami ( Alison Sweeney ) and EJ ( James Scott ) kissing passionately. Up on the seventh floor, Lucas ( Bryan Dattilo ) wakes up and rouses Chloe ( Nadia Bjorlin .  Still locked in the lab, Steve ( Stephen Nichols ) tries to comfort Kayla ( Mary Beth Evans ) who is wailing in grief that her baby has been stolen.

Days of our Lives has been plagued with yet another behind-the-scenes drama.  Amid reports that Ed Scott had been rewriting the show’s storylines and dialogue without permission, the long-running soap has decided to let go off its co-executive producer. The dismissal of Scott, who has been co-executive producer of Days of our Lives since 2007, is said to be in the “best interest” of the show.  Moreover, it also puts a close to several weeks of off-cam turmoil.

All My Children has launched a nationwide search for an Iraq war veteran who will partake in a newly created romantic storyline that promises to shed light into the challenges faced by a soldier after combat. According to executive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers, All My Children is inviting veterans to contact the program’s New York casting director.  The show is also working with U.S.A. Cares, a nonprofit group that provides financial and other support to wounded soldiers and their families, and has sought help from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
