JR Martinez recently stepped in Pine Valley as a solider who was assumed to have been killed during active duty in Iraq.  So far, his character Brot has been well-received by fans of All My Children , especially since Martinez is a real life war hero who can genuinely attest to the “life after war” theme. The 25-year-old solider was severely burned when his Humvee hit a land mine in 2003.  Consequently, he spent 34 months in the hospital and underwent 32 different surgeries.

Yesterday’s episode of The Young and the Restless has set some sort of TV record.  Paul, portrayed by Doug Davidson , and Nikki, played by Melody Thomas Scott , finally had sex 30 years after the character last slept together.  The unexpected reunion occurred after Nikki stood up to Victor ( Eric Braeden ) for blaming her for the notebook being in Genoa City.  Shortly after, Paul offered Nikki a place to stay while she copes with the “death” of her best friend Kay ( Jeanne Cooper ) and recovers from her relationship with Victor.  Eventually, the two reminisced about the past, fell into a passionate kiss and the basked in the afterglow of their lovemaking.
