Previously on Days of our Lives , Lucas ( Bryan Dattilo ) asked Chloe ( Nadia Bjorlin ) to join him at the Horton cabin but Kate ( Lauren Koslow ) showed up and insulted Lucas’ choice in women.  Sami ( Alison Sweeney ) learned that she and Lucas are being granted joint custody of Allie but refused to share her daughter with him.  Lexie (Renée Jones) told Daniel (Shawn Christian) that she can no longer be his friend, while Daniel told Hope ( Kristian Alfonso ) that he still loves Chelsea ( Rachel Melvin ).  As for Marlena ( Deidre Hall ), she told John ( Drake Hogestyn ) it’s over between them and that she has accepted a date with Trent (Roscoe Born). As reported previously, All My Children alum Matthew Borlenghi will be joining Days of our Lives this fall as the Mayor of Salem, apparently to bring some law and order to the drama-filled town.  But based on his interview with TV Guide , it seems that his character will be “shaking things up” after all. In the coming weeks, Salem will be visited by a bunch of new faces and several old timers.  As reported previously, Matthew Borlenghi will soon be gracing Days of our Lives to bring some much needed law and order as the Mayor of Salem.  So, who else will spice up the drama on Days of our Lives ?  Read on to find out. First up is Eve Plumb, best known for her portrayal of Jan Brady on the television sitcom The Brady Bunch.   This 50-year-old actress will appear on Days of our Lives as Marlena’s ( Deidre Hall ) new patient named Dora.  You can read hints about their storyline in this spoiler article.

Nicole makes her way back over to the hospital lobby on today’s Days of our Lives .  Nothing has really changed, though.  Roman ( Josh Taylor ) has figured out that someone tampered with the ventilation system and some kind of strange gas is being pulled into the seventh floor.  I’m glad that the characters on Days of our Lives are finally catching up to what we know.  The camera feeds are back on and Nicole sees Sami ( Alison Sweeney ) and EJ ( James Scott ) kissing passionately. Up on the seventh floor, Lucas ( Bryan Dattilo ) wakes up and rouses Chloe ( Nadia Bjorlin .  Still locked in the lab, Steve ( Stephen Nichols ) tries to comfort Kayla ( Mary Beth Evans ) who is wailing in grief that her baby has been stolen.

Nicole’s noir nightmare continues today on Days of our Lives .  Real Nicole pours herself a drink and looks into the mirror and continues fantasizing that she just garotted Sami ( Alison Sweeney ) with her scarf.  But apparently, she didn’t garotte her enough because Sami regains consciousness and fights back.  This time, Nicole uses a pillow to smother her until she is good and dead. Meanwhile, Lucas ( Bryan Dattilo ), alone in his private detective office, laments the fact that he saw Chloe Lane ( Nadia Bjorlin ) and Philip, a.k.a. Philly ( Jay Kenneth Johnson ) kissing at the club.

Days of our Lives begins today with Nicole having a panic attack at the DiMera mansion, looking for Rolf.  She’s upset that EJ would choose Sami over her. Oh gawd, Nicole starts imagining the worst about EJ and suddenly, the picture cuts to black and white, and we see Lucas ( Bryan Dattilo ) narrating in noir-style about all his troubles.  It’s Days of our Lives meets the The Maltese Falcon .  He’s all upset about the heat and the fact that the "little woman" is cheating on him.  Quick cut to EJ ( James Scott ) and Sami ( Alison Sweeney ) in bed together.  You know, I love Alison Sweeney, but she’s doing this high-pitched baby voice thing, and it’s not pretty.  Suddenly, they hear a noise and realize that EJ’s wife Nicole comes in, so Sami scrambles in a panic into the closet.  I think Arianne Zuker is the best one so far in the noir genre.

Down in the hospital lobby in today’s Days of our Lives , Roman ( Josh Taylor ) suspects that Stefano might be responsible for the lockdown, but Abe ( James Reynolds ) isn’t so sure, since Stefano is supposed to be in a coma.  Lexie ( Renee Jones ) pipes in to give her two cents, since she is aware that something might be going on with Stefano. On yesterday’s Days of our Lives , Tony ( Thaao Penghlis ) and John ( Drake Hogestyn ) were working together to get the ventilation system back online.  As soon as Tony agreed to help John, Stefano appeared before Tony, threatening vengeance for his betrayal.  Tony picked up a wrench and wielded it at him, but in today’s episode, we find out that it was just a hallucination.  John takes the wrench away from him, and Tony runs away in a panic.
