The Latest Daytime Soap Opera News

As reported last month, The Young and the Restless show creators William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell will be presenting viewers with a change of scenery as they bring the show to France.  The Young and the Restless will be filming in Paris for the soap’s first-ever, on-location shoot in the City of Lights, in line with the program’s upcoming 20th anniversary in France.  And while it has been said that filming is scheduled to commence this fall, the specific actors participating in the Parisian storyline have not yet been confirmed until now. According to CBS, Eric Braeden (Victor), Sharon Case (Sharon), Eileen Davidson (Ashley) and Joshua Morrow (Nick) are all slated to film in Paris during the week of October 6.  As of this moment, not much has been revealed about the Parisian storyline so fans will just have to stay tuned to find out.

Stafford met the organization’s founder, Debbe Magnusen, at a party and since then, the Young and the Restless actress has been introducing her to legislators with the Citizens Commission on Human Rights and has been working with her on various fund-raising events.

Since 2007, Billy Miller has been portraying bad boy Richie Novak on All My Children .  Now, he’s ready to make his mark on yet another soap.  According to Soaps.com, the 28-year-old actor will soon be heading to The Young and the Restless to play the often recast Billy Abbott. The son of diva Jill Abbott ( Jess Walton ) and deceased John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), Billy Abbot was first played by David Tom in 1999.  For his portrayal of the role, Tom won an Emmy Award in 2000.  When Tom decided to leave The Young and Restless in 2002, Ryan Brown took over the character, though he only stayed until 2003.  Then Scott Seymour was cast as the third actor to portray Billy Abbot but he only lingered on the series for a few months during the end of 2006.
