On January 22nd, 2010, "All My Children" star James Mitchell passed away at age 89, just a month shy of his 90th birthday. James Mitchell will forever be remembered as ‘Palmer Cortlandt’ a role he began playing in 1979. Mitchell last aired on January 5th, 2010.
