Abby Carlton, the daughter of Ashley Abbott ( Eileen Davidson ) and Victor Newman ( Eric Braeden ), has been portrayed by Darcy Rose Byrnes since the conception of the character on The Young and the Restless in 2003. Soon, however, her original portrayer will have to bid farewell to the character that catapulted her to soap opera stardom. According to Soaps.com, which first got word that the 10-year-old actress will be moving on from The Young and the Restless , the role of Abby Carlton is being aged and will eventually be recast.
