Minshew, who plays Kendall Hart on All My Children , took a two-month hiatus from the show, and pre-taped scenes out of their normal sequence so that she would not be off-screen for her entire two-month hiatus.  The hiatus coincided with the return of Eden Riegel to   as Bianca Montgomery, who filled the void left by Kendall’s temporary absence. Minshew recently signed a new contract with the show after rumors of her possible departure from All My Children began circulating.  She’ll be returning on the set of the soap on Friday, January 9 and will finally appear on the canvas by the end of January.

In spite of everything, Peter Reckell , who plays Bo Brady on the soap, remains optimistic about the future direction of Days of our Lives.

Soon, Livingston will be gracing the streets of Port Charles.  But don’t expect Emily to miraculously rise from the dead or resurface as yet another hallucination.  According to ABC, Livingston will be taking on a new character when she rejoins the cast of General Hospital in January 2009.
